This advanced navigation course takes your flying to the next level, providing you with the skills and knowledge to rely solely on your aircraft’s instruments to safely navigate through clouds and low-visibility conditions.
To earn your Instrument Rating, the FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument time, including 15 hours of instrument flight training with a Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII). During this training, you’ll learn how to fly precision and non-precision approaches, navigate using advanced avionics, communicate effectively with Air Traffic Control, and safely operate in the National Airspace System without outside visual references.
