Founded by aviation enthusiasts and professionals in 2016; Avit Flight Academy was built with one goal in mind, to create an environment where new and experienced pilots alike can hone their existing skills and develop new ones. Our Flight Academy provides Pilot Certification and Rating courses under Federal Regulations Part 61. We are proudly based at the Wadsworth Municipal Airport (3G3) with additional locations at Akron-Fulton (AKR), Mansfield Lahm (MFD), Wayne County (BJJ) and Portage County Regional Airport (POV).
Avit Flight Academy is an award-winning flight school recognized for its high standard of accomplishment in flight training by The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s largest aviation association. Avit Flight Academy has been awarded a spot on the Flight Training Experience Awards as a Distinguished Flight School, a title given to high scoring flight training providers from the 2025 Flight Training Experience Review.
